Where would we be without our teachers? Undoubtedly, our teachers have had a huge influence on us. From nursery to university, we relied on them for a lot of knowledge and wisdom. They have selflessly imparted all that they could in us (even though we admit to have caused them trouble many times).

Amongst all this, we might have completely overlooked their other qualities! They possess so many skills that could make them excellent entrepreneurs too. Don’t believe us? Take a look:

  1. Driven by passion, not money

The best of teachers started because they wanted to solve problems and make a difference in the world. They believe that teaching is not just a career, but a way of living. They put in countless hours of work and endless bouts of dedication. Teachers are well aware that money may or may not follow, but choose to pursue their passion for the greater good.

  1. Playing many roles

As an actively engaged support system for students, parents, and other teachers, they manage everything. Often students think of their teachers as nurses, nurturers, cooks, and confidants as well. They juggle multiple priorities. Most importantly, they fully understand and accept that this is part of their job.

  1. Good communication skills

Successful entrepreneurs and good communicate go hand in hand. Effective teachers explain complex ideas so simply that everybody can understand it. They know their target audience (students and parents) well and hence they can relate to them.

Effective classroom teachers can make some of the best startup entrepreneurs or colleagues. They are just so similar to entrepreneurs! If a teacher finds something to believe in, their dedication definitely brings about great results.

On World Teacher’s Day, appreciate and commend your teachers who molded you into who you are today!
